It's clear that the black guy wasn't listening to reason, he most likley believed his knock was a lucky shot. The White guy needed a clear display of dominance from the beginning. If he was omfortablo on the ground that submission should have been done at the first knock, or at the very least mount and then make it clear to the black guy, that he can't be beaten lol.
