Lesson 1 in almost any gym/school/class is leaerning your basic stance and guard. Let's take a look at our basic stance and guard that we build all our fundamentals off of. This is the base you want to become familiar with and put a lot of work and effort into developing into a habit as it's the foundation for everything you'll learn.

Some base tips you will hear all the time when working with your coach about your stance and guard;
-Keep your chin down!
-Keep your hands up!
-Elbows in!
-Body rounded!
-Knees bent, stay low!
