Jonathan Chen has been working in restaurants since his childhood. His family's first restaurant, Mandarin Place was located in Lake Forest, CA. After school, he would work on his homework and help out the team afterwards. This was an ongoing process until the age of 21 when he attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and graduated in 2003. Jonathan worked at Pei Wei for one year and shortly after, joined Panda Restaurant Group. He became an Assistant Manager and worked his way to General Manager within 7 months. Towards the end of his career, he opened and operated Panda Express in Lake Forest, CA. With over 12 years at China Moon, Jonathan strives to provide the best food and service while maintaining a clean environment for all guests. His main focuses are making China Moon's 20 different sauces and managing both the front and back of the house. All in all, he just wants to create a both fun and memorable experience from beginning to end, each time you visit.
